Based on a report from PUSH, the brand of Catriona Gray’s crown made a comeback last 2017 for Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
The luxurious Mikimoto crown was used by the Miss Universe organization last 2002 and 2007.
The phoenix crown was won by Miss Universe 2002 Oxana from Russia while the 2007 Mikimoto crown was obtained by Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori of Japan.
According to the report, the phoenix crown has pearls signifies beauty, status, and power. Whoever wears it will surely feel like a true beauty queen.
The Mikimoto crown costs around $250,000 or P13.2 million. It is beaded with 120 South Sea and Akoya pearls, and 500 diamonds that weighs 30 carats.
Based on the report, the winner of Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, is also given a chance to choose her advocacy and will be supported by the organization.
