GILBERTO DUAVIT SR DIES – Former congressman and GMA-7 founding chairman Attorney Gilberto Duavit Sr. died at 84 years old.

Recently, a news report about former Cong. Gilberto Duavit left many of his family, relatives, friends, fellow politicians, and former co-workers saddened.

According to GMA News Online, the founding chairman of GMA-7 and former Congressman Atty. Duavit passed away at the age of 84. He was the Kapuso network’s chairman from 1974 until 1976.

Moreover, in 1977, Duavit became the director of the company. In the Congress, he previously represented the 1st District of Rizal and has served as Senior Assistant Minority Floor Leader of the 1oth Congress.

Based on the report, the late former Congressman has also served as the chairman of the 11th Congress House Committee of Appropriations.
