LTFRB issued an order on Wednesday (December 12) which directs law enforcement units to capture Angkas drivers and operators and impound their vehicles. The Supreme Court earlier issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the implementation of a directive by the Mandaluyong Regional Trial Court (RTC) which allows “Angkas” drivers to resume operations pending a final decision from industry regulators.

As per the report, the Angkas head of operations David Medrana said that the TRO will affect the livelihood of 25,000 biker-partners. Medrana further said that this is the time when hundreds of thousands of commuters need the Angkas service to beat the worsening holiday traffic.
