The pageant Miss Universe 2018 has a reported new format.
MISS UNIVERSE 2018 – The most prominent and prestigious beauty pageant, this year’s Miss Universe, reportedly has a new format and it has received various comments.
The prestigious pageant held every year is the Miss Universe gathering gorgeous women from different continents of the globe. And for this year, the Miss Universe will be held at Thailand the pageant night is set to happen on December 17.
The country’s representative for this year is Catriona Gray who got featured in Vogue Thailand. And now, in one of the interviews held along with other candidates, Catriona definitely nailed it as to how she constructed a very queen-like answer on the spot.
But now, there were reports that the pageant is going to have a new format. And here it is based on an Instagram post:
- This time, there shall be Top 20 instead of 16 girls.
- The continental format is expected to continue with Asia and Africa, Europe and America with 5 girls from each zone, and 5 girls as wildcards from any zone making a Top 20.
- The host, Steve Harvey, will be asking each of the 20 girls a casual question which won’t be scored.
- Each girl will get around 15 seconds to deliver an opening statement regarding what they want the world to know about themselves.
- Based on this opening statement, Top 10 will be selected.
- The Top 10 will compete in Swimsuit-Evening Gown round and the combined scores shall determine the Top 5.
- The Top 5 will undergo Question and Answer round. the questions will come from any of the other 94 girls in the competition.
- Top 3 will be undergoing a common Q&A round.
- The new Miss Universe will be crowned.
