US Embassy closed on December 5

The US Embassy in Manila will be closed on December 5, Wednesday to mourn the death of former President George H.W. Bush.

Bush died on December 1, Saturday at the age of 94. He served as the President of the United States from 1989 to 1993.

He was the 41st President of America.

His son confirmed this, based on a previous report.  Jim McGrath, the spokesperson of the former President revealed that the latter died in Houston.

Announcement from the embassy on Tuesday said:

“The U.S.Embassy in the Philippines and affiliated offices will be closed to the public on Wednesday, December 5, in observance of the National Day of Mourning for President George H.W. Bush.”

Based on the report published in Inquirer, the agency will resume its regular operations and its affiliated offices on Thursday, December 6.
