The Chief Executive of the Philippines announced this good news when he led the Christmas tree lighting in Malacañang on December 2.
Initially, Duterte said that those who are working in the Palace will receive P40, 000.
However, when he learned that his daughter, Mayor Sara Duterte, will be giving P50,000 Christmas bonus to Davao City Hall employees, the President also set the same amount.
“So, hindi tayo magpalugi sa Davao. Sabi ko wala akong pakialam magnakaw ka na, dispakulhin mo ‘yang pera basta gawain mong P50k. It’s gonna be P50k. Okay na ‘yan,” Duterte said, based on GMA’s report.
