Statement of Martin Nievera about ASAP’s new format with Regine Velasquez
Concert King Martin Nievera has broken his silence on the new format of ASAP with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
Now, that Regine is officially a Kapamilya and she is now part of ABS-CBN’s Sunday musical variety show, some changes occurred.
ASAP is now ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’ which follows the format of getting the viewers more involved with the show.
In line with this change, people noticed that some artists already exited out of the show.
Previously, netizens speculated that Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla‘s post was a sort of expression of her emotion about the show’s new format.
Another singer also took to social media his thoughts about this. Janno Gibbs directly addressed the Kapamilya management.
Now, Martin Nievera, who was also part of the previous reacted about ASAP’s new format with Regine.
Based on the article published in PEP, the Concert King answered why he was absent during the first two episodes of ASAP Natin ‘To.
“Hindi naman ako babalik. Hindi naman ako umalis ng ASAP! I was on tour of Europe for DZMM with Ahwel Paz. AndAnd because of the tour, wala ako sa first two episodes ng bagong format ng ASAP,” he explained during an interview.
Martin, on the other hand, expressed his excitement to be back on the show with it’s new format.

When asked if he is set to appear on the next episodes, the singer said that as long as he is physically in the Philippines, it’s possible.
Regarding the issue of the new format, Martin Niever said:
“All I can say is, change is good. Change is good. PersonallyPersonally, for me, the show didn’t need any kind of improvement. ButBut who am I to say? I’m one of the artists. I’m inside looking out. Iyong mga outside looking in, ang mga sinasabi nila, kailangan mga bagong portion. Tapos, may bago ring kasama sa show, sina Regine [Velasquez], di ba? So, we have to somehow improve the show,” he said.
