New Commissioner of CSC Is LTFRB’s Atty. Aileen Lizada
AILEEN LIZADA – Attorney Aileen Lizada of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is the new commissioner of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Undeniably, recently, the LTFRB is hooked to several issues concerning their approval of the fare increase. The board declined the motion seeking to withhold the increase in the fare.
Amid the issues, one of the board members of the LTFRB, Atty. Aileen Lizada, was recently moved from the board to the Civil Service Commission. The lawyer is one of those who are against the P2 hike in the jeepney minimum fare.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN, newly-appointed CSC Commissioner Atty. Aileen Lizada will replace Robert Martinez.
The Palace has already released a document stating that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is appointing Atty. Aileen Lizada as the new CSC commissioner.
Based on the report, the term of the lawyer as the new commissioner of the CSC will end on February 2, 2025.
She apparently has around more than six years of term as the head of the commissioner. The new CSC commissioner may start taking her duties as soon as she has the copies of her oath of office.
The appointment of Lizada as the new commissioner of the CSC is not first change in leadership that happened in a government agency this year. The Supreme Court also recently has a new Chief Justice in the person of Lucas Bersamin.
Before Bersamin, the SC Chief Justice was Teresita de Castro but she has to leave the post as she is set to retire on October. She replaced former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno whose appointment was nullified.
