The “Lord of Scents” Joel Cruz, as much as everyone is probably aware of, has seven children – 3 sets of twins and his youngest Zeid. He is the man behind the success of the famous perfume company Aficionado.

In a previous report, being a father, the fragrance mogul has expressed, “Ang sarap-sarap din ng pakiramdam na andiyan ang mga anak ko, yayakap sa ‘kin ang lahat ng anim na ito, yung sabay-sabay na magtatanong ng kung ano-ano.”

All of his children were conceived through in vitro fertilization by the same surrogate mother, a Russian named Lilia, which technically means that they are all siblings. Surrogation and being a single parent is legal in Russia.

His children are Prince Sean and Princess Synne (September 2012), the second pair were Prince Harry and Prince Harvey in October 2015, Charles and Charlotte were born in May 2017 and Zeid was just this year.

However, the process was quite expensive as it was admitted by Joel Cruz himself. In an interview with Tunay Na Buhay, he shared that he has undergone several processes and interviews before he was granted to have a child. Everyone probably knows that being a parent is a lifetime responsibility.
In terms of expenses, he said, “Magaling sila. Medyo mahal lang pero magaling sila… Well, initially, you have to give. You have to pay Php 6-million. Yun yung pag-accept ng program and hindi sila titigil hanggang hindi ka nagkaka-anak.”

Furthermore, “But of course, you have to pay for the extra procedures. Yung mga whatever tests… umaabot ng Php 12-million.”
And now, he has his 8th child born in St. Petersburg, Russia last November 6.
