Furthermore, The LTFRB said in their statement that the motion failed to present new issues for the Board to reconsider its earlier findings. They added that it’s apparent that the issues raised therein had already been passed upon by the Board in resolving the instant petition for fare increase as the same issues were raised by oppositor Arlis Acao in his opposition filed on 13 June 2018.

A recent article on ABS-CBN News says that recently, they filed another petition to bring back the fare to ₱8 considering the fact that oil companies announce a price rollback of ₱2.50 per liters of gasoline and ₱2.00 per liter of diesel.

RJ Javellana, the president of UFCC said that they want the ₱8 fare back since the prices of the pertroleum in the market gets better.

As per the report, Javellana further said that they hope that this will be solved as soon as possible and there could ba a win-win solution for the transport sector and the riding public.
