Updates On Stranded Passengers Due To Typhoon Rosita Released By PAGASA

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has released the latest updates regarding the stranded passengers due to the effects of Typhoon Rosita.

On Tuesday (October 30, 2018), Typhoon Rosita carrying heavy rains and strong winds made a landfall in Isabela.

The weather disturbance packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 230 kph devastated the province.

Stranded Passengers

Sea travels have been also canceled due to the inclement weather condition brought by the Typhoon Rosita.

Recently, the Philippine Coast Guard released the latest updates regarding the stranded passengers.

The PCG units are instructed to ensure the safety of HPCG Memorandum Circular Number 02-13. The memorandum shows guidelines on Movement of Vessels during Heavy Weather.

Stranded Passengers

PCG reported that a total of 2,126 passengers, 157 rolling cargoes, 11 vessels, and 0 motorbanca were currently stranded.

The stranded passengers, vessels, and cargoes are located from coast guard district of Southern Tagalog, Western Visayas, Bicol, and Northeastern Luzon.
