Pinay Athlete Hidilyn Diaz Tops IWF Senior Women’s 53kg Division
The Pinay athlete Hidilyn Diaz has topped the last ranking of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Senior Women’s 53kg Division.
Hidilyn Diaz climbed to the top spot of the IWF after she successfully lifted a 207-kilogram weight in Jakarta, Indonesia during the finals.
The Filipina weightlifter was just heavier of 1 kilogram compared to the athlete Kristina Shermetova of Turkmenistan.
Diaz was able to beat the Turkmenistan champion during Asian Games 2018, which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The 27-year-old Pinay athlete was also set to join the first league of Tokyo Olympics qualifiers, which will be held next month.
The female athlete rose to fame after bringing glory and honor to the country through winning international weightlifting competitions abroad.
The Pinay’s perseverance and dedication in weightlifting make her able to acquire achievements and honor as an athlete.
