Pinoy Boxer Milan Melindo Fails To Win Championship vs Japan’s Ken Shiro
The Pinoy boxer Milan Melindo has failed to win the championship belt after Japanese boxer Ken Shiro beats him via technical knockout.
On Sunday (October 7, 2018), Milan Melindo attempted to steal the WBC light flyweight belt from Ken Shiro in Yokohama, Japan.
Unfortunately, the Filipino athlete failed to steal the crown after Ken Shiro threw jabs and combinations causing a bloody cut over the challenger’s left eye.
At 2:47 of the 7th round, the American referee Laurence Cole called a halt upon the recommendation of the ring physician.
The 26-year-old Japanese boxer was on the attack and already ahead on the scorecards when the referee apprehended the fight.
The 30-year-old Melindo lose to Shiro via technical knockout and failed to win the WBC light flyweight crown.
Shiro’s mobility and agility make him in control over Melindo and earning more points on the judges’ scorecards.
The Japanese fighter has now 14 wins, 0 lose with 8 knockouts in his fourth title defense while Melindo dropped to 37 wins, 4 losses with 13 knockouts.
