ABS-CBN BALL 2018 – The reason why celebrities wore and pinned a small blue ribbon during the ABS-CBN Ball 2018 is because of this reason.
In a previous article, the ABS-CBN Ball 2018 is the gathering of stars not only to socialize but also for a cause which aims to raise funds to the programs of Bantay Bata 163.
In this event is where the re-launch of its Children’s Village in Norzagaray, Bulacan has happened.

Bantay Bata 163 program director Jing Castañeda said that the Children’s Village a “home that heals”.
“Because that’s what the children we rescue lose — the sense of hope, and that’s where we teach them to dream again,” she added.
And as per the blue ribbon that the Kapamilya celebrities have worn during the event, Castañeda explained: “This is actually the international color for child abuse. Child abuse is a worldwide phenomenon. It’s not just a problem in the Philippines; it’s a problem in several countries. This is our way of promoting prevention of child abuse.”
“The mere fact that we are the beneficiary, it’s a huge help in generating awareness for our advocacy, which is prevention of child abuse,” she said as per ABS-CBN’s report.

Bantay Bata 163 is the social welfare program of the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation which was launched in 1997.
The Children’s Village is to provide a temporary shelter to rescued children before their cases are resolved legally with therapy and educational opportunities before reunited with their families or referred to proper child caring agencies.
Castaneda is as well looking forward to the partnerships with stars attending the ball for Bantay Bata 163’s Children’s Village and among other programs.
