Senior Citizens Could Avail Free Rides In MRT-3 & LRT-2 Next Month

The Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) offer free rides for senior citizens during the first week of October 2018.

Starting October 1 up to 7, 2018, MRT-3 and LRT-2 will give free rides for the elderlies or senior citizens in the area.

Senior Citizen Rep. Francisco Datol Jr. explained that the free rides for senior citizens were part of celebrating the Elderly Filipino week.

In MRT-3, the senior citizens will be given magnetic tickets to enter the paid area, which they will present before leaving the train.

“Ang mga senior citizen ay sasailalim para rin sa karaniwang security inspection,” MRT3 general manager Rodolfo Garcia said.

Meanwhile, LRT-2 will designate a gate for the elderlies upon entering the station, according to LRT Administrator Reynaldo Berroya.
