Globe Telecom Reduces Rates For Text Messages & Voice Calls
Globe Telecom has already started to reduce their interconnection rates for SMS and voice calls in compliance with NTC’s memorandum circular.
Nowadays, text messages and voice calls have been one of the most important methods of communication all around the world.
However, mobile phone users would spend a certain amount of cash in exchange for cellular load in order to send text messages and call their contacts.
Recently, Globe Telecom changed their rates for text messages and voice calls leading to a more competitive industry.
The mobile network giant lowered their interconnection rates in compliance with the order of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
Globe reduced the SMS rates from P0.15 to P0.05 per text message while voice calls were changed to P0.50 from P2.50 per minute.
The price reduction on text message and voice call rates have been already effective since September 1, 2018.
“The new interconnection rates will lead to a more robust and competitive industry that will further benefit the public,” Globe general counsel Froilan Castelo said.
