The Bicol Central Academy (BCA) Board of Trustees has ordered a three-month suspension against the school administrator over burning incident.

Last week, the report regarding the school administrator of BCA has been the headlines of several local news outlets and social media pages after burning the bags of senior high students.

Alexander James Jaucian happened to be a school owner and Camarines Sur Board Member was the responsible for the incident.

Jaucian ordered a male staff of the school to burn the schoolbags because of his disappointment to the students.

The bags contain wallets, cellphones, gadgets, cash, ATM cards, and other valuables of students, which were damaged by the fire.

The Board of Trustees of Bicol Central Academy ordered a three-month suspension without pay against Jaucian.

The Board members also ordered the school administrator to pay for the damage of the students’ personal items.

As part of the sanction, the school administrator has personally apologized to the parents of the affected students.

Jaucian also admitted his mistakes but explained that his move was only a disciplinary action towards the disobedience of the students.

DepEd has also recommended that Bicol Central Academy should undergo guidance counseling and social media ethics seminar.
