Low Pressure Area And A Tropical Storm May Bring More Rainfall

PAGASA Said Low Pressure Area Found And Storm May Bring Rainfall This August 16 (Thursday)

LOW PRESSURE AREA – A low pressure area is found near Visayas and a tropical storm may bring more rain, according to PAGASA.

In the previous report, PAGASA warned us the possible chances that El Niño may develop before year 2018 ends. Solis said that most models show instances of warming in the tropical Pacific. This would then become a weak level of the phenomenon at the end of 2018.

She added that a neutral condition will occur from June to August. Afterwards, El Niño comes after with a chance of 60%. Below to nearly normal rain is expected from July to December. However, western parts of Luzon is expected to face above normal rains.

Solis even said that the Philippines has yet to face 10 to 14 more cyclones until the end of the year. The total count is below the average, which is 19 to 20 cyclones, due to El Niño phenomenon.
