August is known as the month with several holidays. Recently, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared August 21, Tuesday, as a regular holiday to honor the Muslim event Eid’l Adha or the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice.

With the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, the Proclamation No. 556 containing the declaration of Pres. Duterte about August 21 being a regular holiday was released yesterday.
The Eid’l Adha celebration is in time with the Ninoy Aquino Day which is commemorated every August 21. It is a special non-working holiday commemorating the death of the former Senator who passed away.
Former Sen. Aquino died after he was unexpectedly shot in Manila International Airport. The said airport is now known as the Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA.
On August 21, it is going to be a regular holiday and special non-working day. Meanwhile, there are employees who will continue to render services on that day most especially those in the medical field and as well as in the private companies.
