On April 26, 2018, the popular Boracay Island has been temporarily closed to the tourist for rehabilitation and restoration of the famous tourist destination.
President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the six-month closure of the famous haven to allow the government to rehabilitate the polluted island.
Recently, the photos of the world-famous destination after almost four months of closure and rehabilitation activities to restore the tourist spot.
The government is confident that Boracay Island would reopen after six-month of closure on October 26, 2018, according to Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu.
The island has now small vendors replacing the big businesses and plenty of construction employees working for private sectors and also for the government.
