Earthquake Hits Part of Indonesia
EARTHQUAKE – The Indonesia Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics reported that a quake recently jolted a part of Indonesia.
A few days ago, on August 5, Indonesia was shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9. The Sunday quake left many people dead and the counting has reached more than three hundred.
Recently, another quake has reportedly jolted a part of the country. Based on the social media post on the Facebook page of CNN, the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics reported that the quake with a magnitude of 6.2 has shaken North Lombok.
Based on a report on The Guardian, the epicenter was six kilometers northwest of the island. It has a depth of 12 meters.
According to the report, the latest quake that affected North Lombok, Indonesia has caused the collapse of certain structures. It also sent out worried residents on the streets.
