Why did Maritoni Fernandez not accept showbiz offers for a long time?
MARITONI FERNANDEZ – Actress Maritoni Fernandez revealed the two reasons behind her absence from the television screen for quite a long time.
Many avid TV viewers would surely not forget the beautiful actress Maritoni Fernandez who can almost excellently play any role with her immense acting skills.
However, for quite a long time, the fans and supporters of Maritoni could only wish for her return on the TV screen as she did not accept acting offers. Some are wondering as to what happened to the seasoned actress.
Recently, many of Maritoni Fernandez’s fans and supporters felt glad to know that she finally accepted an acting offer again – she is joining the casts of the GMA-7 fantasy television series Victor Magtanggol.
Victor Magtanggol is top-billed by Kapuso actor Alden Richards. It is tagged as the biggest project of the Kapuso network for 2018. Among the other casts of the show is actor John Estrada who really transferred from ABS-CBN to GMA-7 for the said project.
Back to Maritoni Fernandez joining the casts of the fantasy series, speaking to Pep, the returning actress expressed that it was Ms. Annette Gozon Valdes, a good friend of her, who called her for the acting offer.
“No, I cannot. Kasi nga, ayoko na. ‘Tapos bumalik na naman, sabi niya, ‘Sige na, Ton.’ Sabi ko, ‘Sige pwede lang ako up to this time,'” the actress.
Based on the report, Maritoni Fernandez also revealed the reasons behind her showbiz hiatus – business and love life. According to her, she built her business which is the Herb-All Organic and it is really big now.
The actress also turned down offers as she has to fly to the United States every six months to see her special someone – a Filipino yet American citizen man who is one year her junior. Her special someone asked her not to accept offers so they can see each other.
Based on the report, it is through her dermatologist friend who set them up for a date that Maritoni Fernandez met the American citizen Pinoy who became her boyfriend. He is single and has no children.
“Parang business is good, life is good, so sabi ni God, ‘Kulang na lang sa iyo is a husband.’ O, di ba? So parang magsi-singkwenta na ako saka ako may nakilala… So it’s never too late,” she said.
