Mrs. Thelma Chiong Cried Outside The Cinema During The Film’s Climax
THELMA CHIONG – Mother of the Chiong sisters, Mrs. Thelma Chiong, went out of the cinema and cried furiously during the climax.
According to a report, the film “Jacqueline Comes Home” faces negative comments because it was allegedly biased. The star, Donnalyn Bartolome, who played Marijoy, stood and defended the film.
Even more, director Carlo J. Caparas, father of Ysabelle Peach Caparas, the director of the film, was the first to approach Thelma to make the film asking for her permission. The film was premiered on July 18, hoping that this will shed some light to the mysterious case of the Chiong sisters.
However, it seems that Thelma Chiong’s fears came to life. Metrocebu News Online recently posted a video of the mother storming out of the cinema and crying. You can watch the full video below:
Mrs. Chiong was in a happy state before the film started. Even more, she met some of the cast and had an interview.
By the time the film reached its end in the climax, the mother, together with her husband, suddenly left the cinema and cried. She was accompanied by her husband, Mr. Dionisio Chiong, and director Ysabelle Caparas as they comfort her.
According to the report, the film is rated R-13. Despite that, the scenes were too much for the parents to bear as they relive the pain since 1997.
Here are the comments on the video:
Skye D Gee: “Well bago pa pinalabas sa cinema yan, may private viewing na yan, as the family need to confirm and validate each scenes. Sorry pero its a NO for me ?”
Jenny Malamanig: “in the first place, why watch?! hay nako!”
