MMDA Raises Flood Alerts Raised In These Areas

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has raised flood alerts in these areas due to the monsoon rains brought by Bagyong Henry.

On Tuesday (July 17, 2018), MMDA has issued flood alerts in several areas in Metro Manila and its nearby cities.

The monsoon rains due to the enhanced southwest monsoon brought by tropical depression Henry is one of the major causes of the flash floods.

Flood Alerts

Here is the list of flooded areas:

  • Quirino Guazon (as of 6:52 a.m. – gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicle)
  • EDSA Ortigas POEA southbound (as of 7 a.m. – gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicle)
  • Roxas Blvd Kalaw southbound (as of 6:52 a.m. – half tire, not passable to light vehicle)
  • Ortigas La Salle gate 6 (as of 7:15 a.m. – gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicle)
  • EDSA Taft MRT northbound (as of 7:28 a.m. – gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicle)
  • Commo, Doñacarmen (as of 6:52 a.m. – half tire, not passable to light vehicle)
  • EDSA Aurora tunnel northbound/southbound (as of 8:30 a.m. – gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicle)
  • Brgy. Tatalon Roxas district both bound (as of 9:15 a.m. – waist deep, not passable to all types of vehicles)
  • R. Papa Manila northbound (as of 9:15 a.m. – half tire, not passable to light vehicles)
  • E. Rod Delos Santos Medical City both bound (as of 9:15 a.m. – knee deep, not passable to all types of vehicles)
  • Doña Carmen westbound (as of 9:15 a.m. – gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicles)
  • McArthur Highway in front of Fatima (as of 9:38 a.m. – tire deep, not passable to light vehicles)
  • R. Papa (as of 9:41 a.m. – knee deep, not passable)
  • 5th Ave. (as of 9:41 a.m. – gutter deep)
  • Pedro Gil (as of 9:41 a.m. – gutter deep)
  • UN Ave (as of 9:41 a.m. – gutter deep)
  • Balintawak (as of 9:41 a.m. – above gutter deep)
