Sean Gibbons Believes Pacquiao Will Defeat Lucas Matthysse

SEAN GIBBONS – Matchmaker Sean Gibbons believes Manny Pacquiao will defeat Lucas Matthysse by clear decision or late stop.

In the previous article, Oscar De La Hoya is confident and said that the Pacquiao-Matthysse fight will be the end of Pacquiao’s career. For him, seeing his fighter Matthysse fighting against Pacquiao is his priority.

For matchmaker Sean Gibbons, he is more convinced that the Eight Divisions champion will defeat the Argentinian boxer.

According to PhilStar, he arrived last month to check on Pacquiao before going to Kuala Lumpur. He worked with Pacquiao’s advisers in assembling the cards which contain 11 fights.

Gibbons expressed that “Pacquiao is in high spirits” and “Buboy and Justin have him ready for victory”.

“I watched Manny run and work out, doing various exercises. I saw him in a great mood, working very well with a smile, enjoying himself,” Gibbons said based on the report.

Despite Pacquiao saying that Mathysse is “heavy-handed”, Gibbons said that Matthysse will find it difficult as he is not quick on his feet. Meanwhile, he agreed to the fact that Matthysse is really a great fighter because of his knockout power that resulted in 39 wins of his career.

The question, however, is if he can land a devastating blow on a moving target.

Thus, he said that “The fight will come down to one thing – Manny’s ability to be in shape for 12 solid rounds and use his feet and angles.”
