Pacquiao-Matthysse May Be The End Of Pacquiao’s Career Says De La Hoya
PACQUIAO-MATTHYSSE – Oscar De La Hoya is confident that Manny Pacquiao may end his boxing career with his upcoming fight with Lucas Matthysse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In an article, it is stated that De La Hoya said in Boxing Scene that his priority would be seeing Lucas Matthysse’s fight with Manny Pacquiao. Previously, former light welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi expressed that Matthysse would be the perfect comeback fight for Pacquiao.
Just like what Pacquiao did to De La Hoya back in 2008, De La Hoya believes that this fight may be the end of Pacquiao’s career.

Although he said that there are no issues regarding this fight, there are rumors that this will not come off as planned because of Pacquiao’s group issue on delayed payment. According to Boxing Scene, Bob Arum of Top Rank, made several comments about the event falling out.
Pacquiao, however, disregarded it and said that he is “saddened” but not affected by what other people are doing against their match.
“May God enlighten their minds and soften their hearts,” the Pinoy boxer said.
Pacquiao is even confident that his training is enough to face Mathysse.
“We are now on the final phase of our preparations for the July 15 bout. Both of us are preparing hard. I don’t want to predict the outcome but I feel this fight will not last the full distance. May the best man win,” he expressed.

The Pacquiao-Matthyse fight will be on July 15 at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
