Troy Rike Saves Chris Goulding During The Brawl
TROY RIKE – Gilas Player Troy Rike received PHP 200,000 from his backers after rescuing Chris Goulding during the incident.
In the previous article, it is stated that netizens slammed Chris Goulding for his alleged tweet against the Filipinos but it was already clarified that the tweet is fake. He is one of those ejected from Australi’s team following the controversial brawl.
In the midst of the brawl, there is one man who, despite everything, defended Chris Goulding. Enter Troy Rike, a 22-year old 6’7″ forward playing for Gilas Pilipinas.
Rike’s backers praised him and rewarded him with PHP 200,000 for his heroism. What’s more, Chooks-to-Go even posted a picture of him defending the Aussie player from getting hurt.
Ronald Mascariñas, Bounty Agro Ventures Inc. president, said that if not for him, Goulding’s head might have been broken.
“Kung hindi sa action ni Troy Rike, basag ‘yung ulo nung nakahiga na ‘yun. By protecting this person, nakita niya ‘yung repercussion[s].”
Even more, his selflessness did not just end there. He donated the reward to Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in Australia and World Vision Philippines.
