Netizen Reveals Identity Of Alleged Suspect Over Hit & Run Incident In Bacolod

A netizen has revealed the identity of the alleged suspect over the ‘hit & run’ incident in Bacolod City killing a banana vendor and its child.

On Wednesday (June 20, 2018), a banana vendor and his child died in a hit and run incident on Buri Road, Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City.

The victims were identified as Dante Lascuna, 44-year-old and his son Rendel Lascuna, 6-year-old of Purok Carmencita, Barangay Mandalagan.

Alleged Suspect

Dante and his son were riding a trike when a speeding Kia Rio car suddenly hit them while overtaking another vehicle.

The car was reportedly driven by Catherine Rhea Mationg who quickly ran away after the incident.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) traced Mationg as a residence of Phase III, Country Homes Subdivision, Brgy. Estefania in Bacolod City.

The authorities proceeded to the area and found the damaged vehicle. However, Mationg’s family claimed that the culprit fled away.

The police force and Mationg’s family were trying to contact the suspect and urging her to voluntarily surrender.

Unfortunately, Mationg is not yet responding to the calls and messages.

A Facebook user named Enairam Anirtak has shared the profile and photos of the alleged suspect whose name on Facebook was K Rhea Yanson.

UPDATE:

Rhea Yanson has already surrendered to the authorities and settled the case with Lasconia’s live-in partner identified as Veronica Loredo.

Veronica, who had three children with Lasconia excluding Randel who also died in the accident agreed to settle the case with Yanson.

Alleged Suspect

The money will be used for Dante and Randel’s funeral wake since the family only relies on selling bananas.
