Tropical Depression Domeng Gets Stronger & To Bring Heavy Rains
Tropical Depression Domeng gets stronger and expected to bring occasional heavy rains in some parts of the country.
On Friday (June 08, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that Bagyong Domeng gets stronger moving at the same speed and direction.
Domeng is now packing maximum sustained winds of 60 kilometers per hour (kph)and gustiness of up to 75 kph moving 15 kph at north direction.
The weather disturbance was last spotted at 470 kilometers east of Casiguran in Aurora and expected to bring monsoon rains over the Luzon and Visayas.
The monsoon trough and the southwest monsoon would also bring monsoon rains over Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region, Western Visayas and the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, and Zambales.
PAGASA warned the resident in those areas against possible flashfloods and landslides.
Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon and Visayas would have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms because of the southwest monsoon and monsoon trough.
The eastern section of southern Luzon and the Visayas would have rough to moderate coastal water conditions.
The coastal waters in Cagayan Valley Region and the rest of the country would be moderate to rough.
