Mocha Uson Detained In Kuwait Over Viral Video Of Rescuing Distressed OFW’s?
PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has finally revealed the truth being the rumors of being detained in Kuwait over viral OFW rescue video.
On Tuesday (May 29, 2018), Mocha Uson has dismissed the rumors and speculations that she was detained in Kuwait after the video of their rescue operation for distressed OFWs goes viral.
The communications assistant secretary denied the rumors and revealed that she was not included in the rescue operation.
Uson also declined of sharing the video of the rescue operation and explained that she just had been from Boracay to give updates regarding the island’s rehabilitation.
“Ako na-detain? Hindi po totoo ‘yun, hindi po ako na-detain, hindi po ako kasama sa rescue, wala po akong in-upload, wala po akong shinare na video,” Uson said quoted by MSN.
“…Pangalawa, kagagaling lang po natin ng Boracay para magbigay ng updates sa Boracay rehabilitation, ayun ‘yun lang po, hindi po ako nakulong,” Mocha added.
Earlier this month, the Kuwaiti government released the Philippine embassy’s controversial action caused the detention of four Filipino drivers.
The actions of the staff were called by Kuwaiti government as ‘inappropriate behavior’ and expelled Philippine Ambassador Renato Villa and recalled its envoy in Manila over the incident despite the apology of Foreign Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano.
