Duterte Suggests Resignation of 2 Assistant Secretaries from DPWH, DOJ
DUTERTE – Presidential spokesman Harry Roque revealed that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has ordered two assistant secretaries from two government agencies to leave their post.
It is no secret to the public that the President is a staunch critic of corruption and his administration is in the pursuit of cleaning the government from corrupt officials and leaders.
Based on a report in CNN, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque recently revealed that the President has suggested two assistant secretaries from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DWPH) to leave their post.
According to Roque, Pres. Duterte asked DPWH Assistant Secretary Tingagun Umpa and DOJ Assistant Sec. Moslemen Macarambon Sr. to resign over allegations of corruption.
Based on a social media post of Philippine Star, the President asked the two government assistant secretaries to resign or they will be terminated.
