Kobe Paras set the record straight on the role of Benjie in his and his brother’s past issue with their mom Jackie Forster.
KOBE PARAS – The son of Benjie Paras and Jackie Forster, Kobe Paras, defended his father from blame over his and his brother Andre’s past issue with their mother.
Lots of people are very happy for Jackie Forster and her sons Andre and Kobe Paras who recently reconciled and made a lot of catching-up moments. Andre, 22, and Kobe, 20, are her sons with actor and retired professional basketball player Benjie Paras.
For twelve years, Jackie and her sons Andre and Kobe were not really in good terms. The boys grew up with their father and their stepmother Lyxen Diomampo.
Both Andre and Kobe Paras have date nights with Jackie Forster after their reconciliation. Based on a report, Kobe was also able to meet his three maternal half-siblings.
Based on a report in Pep, Andre and Kobe Paras recently visited GMA Network Center for the courtesy call of the Kapuso executive heads President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr. and Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon.
During their exclusive interview with GMA, Kobe defended his father Benjie and revealed the latter’s role amid his and his brother’s past issue with their mother Jackie Forster.
According to the basketball player, ever since they were kids, their father would always ask them if they want to see their mother. He stressed that there are people who think bad about Benjie and blaming him for their unforgiveness towards Jackie.
“We didn’t really know what forgiveness was. He listened to what Andre and I had to say; not just with forgiving our mom but, like, in basketball and in school,” he expressed.
Based on the report, Kobe Paras stressed that Benjie never forced him and his brother Andre to do anything. Meanwhile, he expressed that they are happy now with what’s happening now that they are mature.
“I’m just happy na this all happened in God’s blessing,” he said.
