The Voting Result Over the Petition To Remove Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno From Office Is Out
MARIA LOURDES SERENO – Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno was removed from office following the 8-6 voting results over the petition to oust her because of an “invalid appointment”.
There are issues surrounding the appointment of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno to the office. Recently, there was a petition to remove her on the basis that her appointment is not valid based on a report in Rappler.
The voting was already done and, based on a recent Twitter post on the social media account of the source, the Supreme Court has removed Chief Justice Sereno from office with 8-6 voting results granting the quo warranto petition to take her from office.
