As seen in the photos, the laptop screen was innovatively taped to a cardboard box to maintain its standing position. An external keyboard had to be plugged to connect with the display.
The internal components of the device has also been exposed as the entire framework appeared to have fallen off.
Many netizens were inspired by Yeop’s innovative skills of customizing a near-dead laptop and his determination to finish his studies despite the poor condition. The student also gained adoration online for recognizing ways to maximize his circumstance.
As per the report, the photos went viral on social media in a short span of time and surprisingly caught the attention of one of the technology giants- Acer.
Touched by Yeop’s perseverance, the company made a decision to provide the student a brand new laptop, Acer Nito 5 as a reward for his passion and loyalty to the brand.
