Jahaziel purportedly noticed that the gas attendant did not correctly return the nozzle which, according to him will retain the figures in the machine and will cause the reading to not return to zero.

Hence, the next customer who purchases gas from the same pump might be convicted into paying for more fuel than what was actually pumped into the tank.

Jahaziel claimed that he can distinguish the proper placement of the nozzle as he was also working in a petroleum company and asserted that what he discovered was indeed a fraud.

He furthered that the scam customarily targets car owners the most.
