FATHER – A netizen posted on social media a unique yet visibly genuine message for his son who just passed a level in school.
With the presence of social media nowadays, it is easier to compliment our loved ones. Lots of parents use the online platform to express their appreciation of the success of their children and as well as the hard work of the kids.
Usually, mothers are the ones posting heartfelt messages for their children on social media but there are also fathers who utilize the platform to show their genuine appreciation of their children’s effort just like netizen “E.i. Baldo”.
Recently, on his Facebook account, he posted a photo of him together with his grade 1 son and a photo of his son’s report card. It could be seen in the latter that his son’s final grades in his subjects are between 75 and 77 – passing grades.
On his caption, the father congratulated his son as he will be moving up to Grade 2 next school year. He told his son that he is excellent and he was able to make him happy most especially when the Grade 1 student told him to be careful in holding his report card as he might lose his fingers.
“Puro pala kasi palakol comedy ka rin,” he stated.
Through his post, the father told his son that his grades are fine with him as he also has the same grades when he was still schooling and it is just like a “throwback”. He stated that he did not dream of putting a medal on him on the stage.
“Bili na lang tayo sa recto at wala rin naman akong ipapamanang talino sayo. Pag igihan na lang natin next year baka sakali maka 79% na tayo,” Baldo wrote in his post.
Furthermore, the father stated that 76% is not a joke as it is higher than 75% which is the passing grade and there is an allowance.
“Good job parin sayo anak kahit accelerated ka lang sa grade 1 at sa dami ng absent at late mo nakapasa parin,” he stated.
The father ended his social media post with hashtags that show that he is a proud father and his son is like him. He also stated that God’s grace is sufficient and his son having no medal is no problem with him.
The social media post went viral on Facebook. As of the writing, it has already reached more than thirty-eight thousand likes on the online platform.
