27-Year-Old Graduating Student Took His Own Life Due To Grade Problems

A 27-year-old graduating student from Bacolor, Pampanga took his own life for allegedly having incomplete or failing grades on his subjects.

Kenneth Masa Ramos, a student of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University (DHVTSU) committed suicide last April 04, 2018.

Ramos drank poison to end his life after the university prevented him from graduating due to incomplete grades.

The student was immediately rushed to the hospital after the incident, unfortunately, he was declared dead on arrival.

Yolanda Masa, Kenneth’s mother even went home to witness her son’s graduation but she did not expect what happened to her child.

“Hindi ko maintindihan kasi walang sakit sa magulang… ‘yong ikaw ‘yong maghahatid sa anak mo. Hindi ko nakakasama ‘yong anak ko sa totoo lang, ‘yong matagal. Siyempre nagta-trabaho [ako], naiiwan siya dito.” Masa said quoted by Summit Express.

Joe Laine Reyes, the sister of Kenner has also contradicted the university’s claim that the student had failing grades.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Masa will seek clarification from the university to learn why did her son’s name was included in the list of graduates when he had grade problems.

However, Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University released a statement confirming that Kenneth would not really graduate from having seven back subjects.
