Meet The Members Of PDP-Laban 2019 Senatorial Lineup
Meet the members of the lineup of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) for the 2019 senatorial elections.
On Tuesday (March 20, 2018), the PDP-Laban has finally introduced their new lineup for the senatorial race of 2019 midterm elections.
House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez led the introduction of the senatorial candidates during the mass oath taking of the party’s new members in Caloocan City.
Here are the members of the 2019 PDP-Laban senatorial lineup:
- Senate President Koko Pimentel
- Dating MMDA chair Francis Tolentino
- Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali
- Maguindanao Rep. Zajid “Dong” Mangudadatu
- Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman
- Davao Rep. Karlo Nograles
- Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque
- Special assistant to the president Bong Go
However, it was still unclear if Pimentel, who took office last August 2011 would be able to join the senatorial race.
Pimentel said that he could still join the race because he only served a year and 10 months as Senator on his first term. The law allows a politician to only serve for two terms.
Meanwhile, House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas, Negros Occidental Rep. Alfredo Abelardo, Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson at Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa were not included on the list despite the rumors that they would run for 2019 elections.
