Self-confessed Drug Lord Kerwin Espinosa’s Lawyer Shot by Unidentified Persons
KERWIN ESPINOSA – Ronda Vice Mayor and Attorney Jonah John Ungab was reportedly shot by two unidentified people in Cebu City.
Recently, a news report stating that lawyer Jonah John Ungab was shot on North Reclamation Area in Cebu City by two unidentified persons riding a Mio motorcycle broke in.
Atty. Ungab is the lawyer of self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa. Based on a report, Kerwin is the son of the late mayor of Leyte, Rolando Espinosa Sr. The elder Espinosa was accused of being involved in drug circulation.
Based on a recent report in SunStar Cebu, Kerwin Espinosa’s lawyer was shot outside a hotel on North Reclamation Area in Cebu City and, citing the initial police report, the motorcycle that the gunmen were boarding on had no plate number.
Kerwin Espinosa’s lawyer, who was driving his Suzuki Ciaz car when the incident happened, was hit on his left nape according to the report. He was with his wife Pearl when the incident happened and he was rushed to a private hospital in Mandaue.
Atty. Ungab reportedly attended the hearing of his client. He was driving his car from Quimonda Building crossing corner Sergio Osmeña Boulevard when the incident happened. As of the writing, there is no update yet regarding the condition of the lawyer.
