Why did Mike Tan choose to have a private wedding with his longtime partner?
MIKE TAN – Kapuso actor Mike Tan broke his silence on his ‘private’ wedding with his longtime non-showbiz partner.
In January 2018, news reports stating that actor Mike Tan has officially tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend broke in. Based on a report, the private wedding ceremony was held on January 22.
Mike and his non-showbiz partner were a couple for 12 years already before they married each other. The actor previously expressed that he and his girlfriend are very open to each other and he really makes sure that he does not feel jealous.
Recently, the Kapuso actor has already broken his silence on his private wedding with his girlfriend-now-wife.
Based on a recent report in Pep, in an interview with the source after the press conference of the GMA-7 drama television series Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka, Mike Tan revealed that it was his partner’s choice to keep their wedding private.
The couple married each other at Villa Milagros ancestral house in Rizal and they only invited their family, relatives, and closest friends. According to the actor, he invited some celebrity friends only a week before the wedding.
Unfortunately, only one from his celebrity guests was able to make it to his big day. He apologizes as they chose to prioritize their family.
Based on the report, Mike Tan expressed that his partner does not want a luxurious wedding and the ones with cameras. He expressed that only the cameraman was able to take shots at the wedding.
“Ini-honor ko lang din kung anong gustong mangyari ng soon-to-be wife ko, na wife ko na ngayon,” he said.
Currently, the married couple is living in the condo unit of the actor. With regards to having a baby, he expressed that he is ready, most especially financially, in case his wife gets pregnant.
