The McDonald’s commercial of two big stars Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion set the social media on fire. Based on a report, the said ad is a reunion project of the celebrity ex-couple – the parents of actress, model, and singer KC Concepcion.
Sharon and Gabby were a married couple for around three years. It was in 1984 when the two celebrities officially tied the knot in a secret civil wedding ceremony and a church wedding.
However, there were speculations that Megastar Sharon Cuneta was already pregnant when she and her former loveteam partner and husband married each other.
Recently, Sharon Cuneta gave light to the speculations through joining the conversation on Krizette Laureta Chu’s post on social media. The actress-singer used her private account with username ‘April Mondragon’.
Based on the screenshot shared by Krizette on her Facebook post, Sharon was not pregnant when Gabby asked her to marry him. She stated that she was at the backstage of the Araneta Coliseum in July 1984 preparing for a concert when the actor approached her as she was going down the stairs.
According to Sharon Cuneta, they had secret civil wedding ceremonies a few days after the actor proposed marriage to her that is why she was so happy when she found out that she was pregnant because they do not have to make it a secret.
Based on the post, Sharon’s concern during that time was the reaction of her parents – former Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta and Elaine Cuneta. The then-married couple talked to the former Pasay City mayor and the preparations for the church wedding began.
Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion officially tied the knot in a church wedding in September 1984. They have a daughter KC Concepcion. Their marriage lasted for around three years.
Meanwhile, the two celebrities are in good terms now. They even started following each other on social media. She has clarified that she has buried the hatchet with her former husband.
