Presidential Daughter Sara Duterte’s Request To Send Portion Of Davao Disaster Funds To Albay Approved
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s request to send a portion of Davao disaster funds to Albay has been finally approved by city council.
The province of Albay is currently under an alert level 4 prompting its local government to declare a state of calamity due to their critical situation because of Mayon Volcano’s eruption.
Over the past few weeks, Mayon Volcano has started to have lava fountaining events and spewing ash plumes affecting the residents near the area.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) also prohibited the public from entering the 8-kilometer danger zone for the safety of everyone.
Recently, the official Twitter page of Manila Bulletin announced that the Davao City Council has already approved the request of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio to send a portion of Davao City disaster funds to Albay.
Inday Sara has requested to send aid to the province of Albay due to the eruption of Mt. Mayon, which is expected to damage a huge amount of crop in the area.
