PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates

The state weather bureau PAGASA has released the latest weather updates regarding the effects of the northeast monsoon on Saturday (January 13, 2018).

On Saturday, The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that northern and central Luzon would be affected by the northeast monsoon over this weekend.

The weather agency said that the tail-end of the cold front will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the eastern section of southern Luzon and the Visayas, especially the Bicol region, the eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands.

The northeast monsoon was also expected to bring bad weather in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora.

The weather bureau also said that the Metro Manila will be cloudy with isolated rains.

Cloudy skies with isolated rain showers would be also experienced in MIMAROPA and the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao because of the localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, PAGASA also warned the residents living in the coastal areas affected by the bad weather to avoid sea travel because of the rough waters.
