#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on Friday, January 12, 2018

Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) were suspended on Friday, January 12, 2018, in several Local Government Units (LGUs) and institutions in the country due to bad weather.

Here’s the list of LGUs that announced class suspensions on Friday, January 12, 2018:

Naga City: all levels

Camarines Sur: all levels

Iloilo City: Afternoon cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in public schools (due to Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2018 opening salvo)

Meanwhile, based on the latest weather update released by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Northeast Monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon while tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon.

Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas and the province of Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front.

Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rains due to Northeast Monsoon.

On the other hand, Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon and of CALABARZON will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

While Mindanao, rest of Visayas and MIMAROPA will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms.

PAGASA noted in an advisory it released earlier that Northern Luzon and Eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon will have Strong to Gale Force wind speed and Rought to Very Rough coastal waters.

Visayas and Rest of Luzon will have Moderate to Strong wind speed and Moderate to Rough coastal waters.

While Mindanao will have Light to Moderate wind speed and Slight to Moderate coastal waters.
