Parents Of Children Vaccinated With Dengvaxia Together With Gabriela Members To file Charges Against Aquino & Others
Gabriela members and the parents of the children vaccinated with Dengvaxia have filed charges against Noynoy Aquino and others.
Previously, the anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia has been the headlines of several local news outlets and social media pages after the French drug maker Sanofi who created the vaccine explained the side effects of the dengue shots.
Sanofi announced that Dengvaxia has negative effects to those who did not have a prior dengue infections. The vaccine has been administered to more than 700, 000 students from public schools.
Recently, the official Twitter page of ‘The Philippine Star’ reported that the members of the group ‘Gabriela’ and the parents of the children vaccinated with the dengue shots go to Office of the Ombudsman to file charges against Former President Benigno Aquino III.
Aside from Aquino, the complainants have also filed charges against ex-DOH Sec. Janette Garin, ex-DBM sec Butch Abad, ex-Exec Sec. Paquito Ochoa.
The filing of the complaints was led by Gabriela Rep. Emmi De Jesus over the alleged anomalies on P3.5 billion dengue vaccination program.
One of the parents complains when her daughter started to suffer from rashes and high fever after completing the three dengvaxia shots.
