Malacañang Declares December 11, 19 As Special Holiday
The Malacañang Palace has declared December 11 and 19, 2017 as a special non-working day in selected areas in the country.
On December 11 and 19, the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) and work in selected areas in the Philippines have been suspended in celebration of local events.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has proclaimed the local holidays through Executive Secretary Salvador Madialdea.
The special non-working day covers the areas of Antipolo, Rizal, Taguig City, Province of Pampanga, La Union, Muntinlupa, and Nueva Ecija based on Proclamation numbers 327, 357-359, and 2226.
December 8, 2017(Friday)
- Proclamation No.357 is a special holiday in Antipolo City for its 426th Founding Anniversary.
- Proclamation No. 358 is a special non-working holiday in Taguig City for its Cityhood Anniversary.
- Proclamation No. 359 is the celebration of 439th Foundation Anniversary of Agoo, Province of La Union.
December 11, 2017 (Monday)
- Proclamation No. 2226 is a special non-working holiday in the province of Pampanga only for its celebration of being one of the oldest provinces in the country.
December 19, 2017 (Tuesday)
- Proclamation No. 327 is a special non-working day in Muntinlupa for the celebration of its Centennial Year as an independent local government unit.
The holidays mentioned above are applicable only to the area covered by the proclamations.
Malacañang Palace allows the people in the said areas to participate and celebrates the local events with appropriate ceremonies.
