Miss Brazil crowned as Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 and the Philippines’ bet places 4th.
Francielly Ouriques from Brazil was hailed as Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 as the pageant was held at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City on Wednesday night.
Over 40 contestants coming from the different parts of the globe have come together vying for the crown and for the Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 entitlement.
As per the previous article, it was the Philippines which hosted the said mother of all pageants on November 28 held at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
Miss Asia Pacific International pageant President Jacqueline Tan even accordingly stated, “With its advocacy to foster love and appreciation of cultural, physical, and spiritual diversities, Miss Asia Pacific International is set to inspire everyone to be comfortable in their own skin and to believe that their unique and distinct traits are key qualities that make them beautiful.”
Netherlands’ Tessa Le Conge passed the crown to Brazil’s Francielly Ouriques.
Based on a report from the ABS-CBN, Brazil’s Francielly Ouriques was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 and the Philippines’ Ilene de Vera finished fourth runner-up in the said pageant.
Other runners-up were Acacia Walker of New Zealand as first, second runner-up Valeria Cardona of Honduras, and third runner-up Morgan Doelwijt of the Netherlands.
The country’s bet, De Vera is a model from Cebu.
She was eyeing to become the fifth Filipina to win the title, following Ma. Del Carmen Ines Zaragoza (1982), Gloria Dimayacyac (1983), Lorna Legaspi (1989), and Michelle Aldana (1993).
A per the source, Ouriques in the final interview round was asked if the pageant’s advocacy of promoting fostering love, appreciation, and unity in diversity is relevant in this day and age.
And her winning answer is, “I believe that we are all equal before God and all of us should be able to spread love and spread good things to everybody. Respect, unity, and love are principles that my parents taught me and that everybody should foster that.”
