Mocha Uson Would Be Very Good Candidate For Senate, House Speaker Alvarez Says
House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez believes that PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson would be a very good candidate for the Senate.
Last October, PDP-Laban secretary-general and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez has suffered from a severe drop in net satisfaction ratings.
Now, Alvarez was pushing for the insertion of Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) assistant secretary Mocha Uson on the PDP-Laban’s senatorial slate.
Previously, the speaker believes that Uson would be a very good candidate for the position and qualified enough because of her genuine heart to help the Filipino people.
“I really believe that Mocha would be a very good candidate. I think she’s qualified, yes. I think she has a genuine heart for the Filipino people,” said by Alvarez quoted by Rappler.
Previously, Uson was surprised upon the announcement of Alvarez in Cebu City about her inclusion on the party’s senatorial slate for the year 2019.
However, the PCOO Asec. that she had no any political intentions and she would’ to run unless President Rodrigo Duterte would tell her to do so.
Alvarez, the expected nation campaign manager of PDP-LAban also revealed the lineup for the 2019 senatorial slate including several House members, Uson, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, and Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, who will be led by Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III.
