Mariel De Leon Unprepared For Miss International 2017 Pageant?

Mariel De Leon is allegedly unprepared to represent the Philippines in Miss International 2017

After the two consecutive success of Philippines in international beauty pageants, Wyn Marquez as Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 and Karen Ibasco as Miss Earth 2017, Filipinos are expecting that the triumph will extend to the country’s candidate for Miss International 2017 Mariel De Leon.

To the dismay of many pageant fans in the Philippines, their expectation for the beauty queen daughter of Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong did not come to reality.

Mariel, during the pageant, looked unprepared for the competition and to bring home the crown which is very much expected of her to do.

According to Filipinos who watched the pageant, the Pinay beauty queen did not seem to be in her fullest potential to reign as this year’s Miss International and be the successor of last year’s winner Kylie Verzosa.

It is supposed to be a back-to-back win if only she was more prepared, according to pageant audience in a report of Pilipino Star Ngayon.

People were also pointing out that Mariel De Leon allegedly dedicated more of her time on the Kapamilya primetime show ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ which is her latest showbiz gig rather than in preparing for the international pageant.

The way she walked down the ramp stage was also noticed which is not as elegant as a beauty queen material as well as her unprepared figure.

Based on the said report, people also criticized the costume which she wore during the national costume competition.

Because of the result of her fight for the crown, she was also bashed for spending more time to issues and intrigues rather than to concentrate on her job to represent the country.

On the other hand, she was defended by her fellow beauty queens such as Karen Ibasco who said to her bashers to stop saying bad comments and just share love and not hate.

Furthermore, Rachel Peters who is set to compete for Miss Universe thanked Mariel De Leon for representing the country, said in a report.
