Conor McGregor Wants To Fight Another Boxer, But This Time On His Sport

The mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor said that he wanted to fight another boxer, but this time into an MMA bout.

Previously, Conor McGregor lost to the former welterweight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a 12-round boxing match via knockout. The match between the two legendary fighter been dubbed as the richest boxing match in the history.

The McGregor-Mayweather match has ended in the 10th round of their bout at T-Mobile Arena when the 29-year-old MMA fighter got fatigued prompting the referee to stop the fight and declaring the 2-year-retired boxer as the winner with a record of perfect 50-0 record.

The MMA fighter also announced that he would defend the lightweight title in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in his next fight and wanted to fight another boxer, but this time into his sport.

“Right now I am focused on my world, the world of true fighting. Ideally, I would like to take one of the boxers into an MMA bout — someone come into my world now,” said by McGregor quoted by ABS-CBN.

McGregor who was nicknamed “The Notorious,” said that he would defeat the 40-year-old boxing champion in a rematch. He said that this time he would change his training regime after Mayweather changed his game plan during their match.

The UFC lightweight champion also acknowledged Mayweather as a true champion and will respect his retirement.
